The man walked out of his lodge,
marching his steps along the small commoner village,
they said he was just an angler,
who chose to fish by a calm river,
though he was wise enough to conquer the sea,
where he could bring back much fortunes from.
carving much glory among his men.
But he would not mind,
for fear of tarnishing his little heart,
by the hideous proud.
For fear of himself being devoured
by the gluttonous fame.
And yet he was there casting his lure,
when his eyes were seeing beyond his glare,
across the blue yonder into the deepest sea,
"Maybe I should set my foot there one day?
No, this is more than enough."
Pretentious,
while that little heart was praying for a better day.
